Welcome!

Welcome to our first blog post! We wanted to start off by first saying thank you to all of South Texas for their support over the years. The fact that our business has grown on mostly word of mouth marketing and our loyal customers over the years is amazing and we could not be more thankful. 

Secondly, we wanted to take the opportunity to give y'all a quick recap of the history of our business....

Butch Cook started the company in 1985 as South Texas Trophies. His wife, Kim, joined him a couple years later and together, they have built this company from the ground up. Throughout the years, several family and friends have worked for the company and it has always been important to Butch and Kim for their employees to feel like they are part of a family here. Often, when you step into the shop, you will also be welcomed by their beloved Golden Retriever, Blue. 

In 2000, South Texas Trophies expanded and added the Image Matters business to their company portfolio. While South Texas Trophies offered trophies, plaques and medals, Image Matters would be able to offer even more product offerings, including signs, banners and custom logo designs. Kim became highly skilled at custom art logo design and is our Head Graphic Designer today. Evan has joined her to become our second on site Graphic Designer. Together, they make an extremely talented design team. 

The current team at the shop also includes Allison, Butch's daughter and Carol, Kim's sister. Allison is head of marketing, website development and all things social media. Carol is head of trophies and awards, while also helping with t-shirts and signs. We truly are a family owned and operated business. 

It has been an honor throughout the years to work with the businesses, schools and organizations in Devine and all of South Texas and again, we can't thank y'all enough for the support.
